A door opens, and a golden seal shatters a star. It is the early 21st century. Mankind has lost the battle for planet Earth to Godzilla, and has taken to the stars in search of a new home. But the search ends in vain, forcing them and their alien allies back to Earth. But 20,000 years have passed in their absence, and the Earth is a wholly different place. The planet's flora and fauna now embody and serve Godzilla. Earth is a monster's planet, ruled by the largest Godzilla ever at 300 meters in height. Godzilla Earth. Human protagonist, Captain Haruo, yearns to defeat Godzilla and retake the planet for mankind. There, he meets aboriginal descendants of the human race, the Houtua tribe. The Houtua twin sisters, Maina and Miana, lead him to the skeletal remains of Mecha-Godzilla, an old anti-Godzilla weapon, which to everyone's surprise is still alive in the form of self-generating nanometal. Taken from the Mecha-Godzilla carcass, the nanometals have gradually been rebuilding a "Mecha-Godzilla City," a potential weapon capable of destroying Godzilla Earth. As the strategy develops, a rift forms between the humans and the Bilusaludo, one of several alien races that had joined the humans on their exodus from Earth. Their leader, Galu-gu, believes that the secret to defeating Godzilla lies in the use of superhuman powers – namely, the nanometal integration – but Haruo resists, fearing that in defeating monsters, they must not become monsters themselves. Haruo ultimately uses his means for defeating Godzilla Earth to destroy the Mecha-Godzilla city so as to prevent nanometal assimilation, killing Galu-gu. However, his childhood friend, Yuuko, has been absorbed by the nanometal integration and has fallen into a brain dead coma. The human race, once again, is lost. Metphies, commander of the priestly alien race, Exif, marvels at the miraculous survival of Haruo, he begins to attract a following. The Exif has secretly harbored this outcome as their "ultimate goal." Miana and Maina issue warnings against Metphies, while Haruo begins to question mankind's next move. With no means for defeating Godzilla Earth, mankind watches as King Ghidorah, clad in a golden light, descends on the planet. The earth shakes once again with as war moves to a higher dimension. What is Godzilla exactly? Does mankind stand a chance? Is there a future vision in Haruo's eyes? Find out in the finale.

ZackarExonar To all who dont understand the ending its simple if you open your mind and not look at everything so closed like almost everyone does. the final scene is Haruo Breaking a Cycle of hatered and keeping everyone from falling into his foot steps. The final scene aftert the credits is the same thing it would seem every year they wish the curses of the "fear" and "hatred" they all had and every year they leave those behind to start anew the very next year never holding Grudges and living a peaseful life. i understood it my first watch and i did so after reading most comments across the web but it seems people are to close minded to see the true meaning behind what haruo did and the final scene. So here it is your welcome and always remember its easier to forgive and move on then it is to hold onto something forever

demitsuru This is for people with low IQ. who don't understand, but believe that there is a thing in it. Gibberish. The ending is gibberish. Haruo in the end become traitor to fellow humans. He slowed down human civilization growth. All live beings want to live at any cost. People who lost hope don't want to live. But if they have logic, they know, there is possibly nothing after death. It is better live longer, to know things. Even if its painful sometimes. This movie is bad example how you need to make decisions. Just bring it to the real world. Technologies need for everyone. After Credits there is a scene. How primitive culture asking gods to protect them from curses.

zdog117 this was trash, I come to godzilla films to watch heavy weight fights. I wanted to watch Gidoriha vs Godzilla not this religious metaphysical nonsense.

Bramickias This one was a lot less fun then the 2 before it. It's a Godzilla movie, we don't need to have it ALL be about faith, destiny, and freeing yourself from hate metaphors. I wanted an epic battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah with, maybe, a surprise appearance by something else. Not a 15min montage about the main character overcoming his hopelessness. The children in the post credit scene, re-enacting his sacrifice to Godzilla to rid themselves of their fears was pretty unnecessary. Maybe if i binge all 3 in a row it can be good, but by itself its a pretty disappointing movie.

CurdledCritter In the end I believe that finishing ceremony was supposed to be like a, "Everyone's the same" kind of thing. They never ever mentioned the moth being a wrathful lord or that they really kinda had a cult over the thing. It's a vicious cycle where the moth people will try to get their god to be the apex predator of the universe and end up whiping themselves out like every other civilization. Though that seems strange cause Godzilla is still there so, maybe he'll just stop it before they go crazy? Overall, enjoyed the movies. Wasn't great, wasn't awful, ending was a headscratcher that didn't have to happen, but it's whatever.

Lithae So wait, he left his pregnant wife just to die a useless death? That tiny crash could not have killed Godzilla. I guess he was trying to destroy the nanometal? Still... could have done that without dying.

Luvstagrind When the fuck did King Ghidorah become a space snake? Man I hope the MC died in vain and that Godzilla took his last attack like a champ. This was the dumbest and most disappointing godzilla since the American 1999 film. Glad it is over

Betol I have no idea about that final ceremony after the credits.. first I thought it was the cave which is shaped similar to a mouth with sharp teeth like rocks in the ceiling, but cant be... then I thought about the symbol on the wall, didnt ring any bells, then my only reason to believe that they showed the ceremony after the credits would be to show the son of the main character? Please help !
